Hello Gary,
Much congratulations on your image here with that gorgeous sunrise! I wish I had this kind of sunrise some day soon.
I like the rocks and especially the large one in front. One time when I shot and posted an image from the Silver Lake with one nice looking rock as a foreground, some one suggested me to take that rock off. Which I followed his advise but I liked my original posting with the rock. Here in your image, this rock reminds me of my posting.
I am not a person who is fond of cropping here and there once a composition is thoughtfully executed. But here I would like to suggest you to crop some portion of the sky - about 1/3 of the area from the top to the top portion of the mountain peak. This will be somewhere along the horizontal dark clouds, but leaving a sliver amount of that dark horizontal clouds. Perhaps, the result will be more stable and settled and at the same time will avoid the horizontal symmetry. You do have beautiful reflections of the sunrise in the lake, which would be nicely balanced with the wonderfully snowed mountain.
"Beauty is in the Lake!"
Thanks for sharing this wonderful photo.
