Lots of excellent photos again!
Some time since I last posted here so here are some new photos from an experiment with my FD 24 2.8 SSC, reverse taped directly to the FD-FE adapter, it actually fits quite nicely.
The image quality seems very good to me, almost no CA and good resolution, it looks quite sharp thru the viewfinder, even wide open, but I did have lots of trouble avoiding motion blur even on an ok tripod and 10s timer because the boarded floor of my appartement isn't very stable, even when traffic passes by (and I live in a city..) so I had to set my iso too high to avoid this to get the best results, but I think I'm going to search for a reversing ring 55mm-FD anyway, it seems interesting for >1:1 macro.
First one is taken with the FD 50 3.5 at mfd, so 1:2 macro, to show the scale of the flowers, the rest is FD 24mm 2.8 SSC reversed without extra extension, first one at around f/5.6 (and because of that iso 8000), the rest wide open, all ooc jpg's except for usual resize action (copyright + usm 0.3 /35):
