Is FD 85 L so old that it uses lead glass? I was wondering why I like the lens on all scenarios much more than EF 85L mkII. Or is it just that EF version was designed and optimized for smooth boke, which did lead compromises on other aspects? Considering lens size, decades of development between FD and EF, and price of EF version really should be better on all aspects.
With EF version I avoided shooting landscapes, because the lens just did suck on large distances and small apertures. I find FD version to be very good ALSO on landscapes.
Canon FD 85mm f/1.2 L @ f/8, HDR(2s, 8s and 30s - Lightroom CC 2015), Sony A7 @ ISO 320, Hoya HMC 82mm NDX400
