One hundred twenty-six bridesmaids.

You're gonna need the flash power of jcolman to light this one:

Not just the lighting, but super-sharp lenses like the 24/1.4G or Sigma 35/1.4 on top of a high resolution body (D800E) and then doing a composite!

Crazy!

I'd be worried using a 24 on that about distortion.

I wonder how Jim [jcolman] would take that shot without using a composite.

I think I could do it with three lights, but six would be better. Two lights for the B&G-one key and one backlight on them. For the rest of the crowd, two lights on each side of the frame, overlapping a bit to light up the crowd. One light aimed at the back row and one at the front row.

What would the backlight do and where would it be placed?

It would help to separate and define the B&G from the background. It's placed up high and behind them. If that proves impossible, a kicker or two can be used instead.

MOB will complain about not being able to see the girl the bride once passed in the hallway at school, 18th row 4th from right. Can you please supply the out takes?
