How would you optimize this image in terms of crop?
Vignette?
Other processing suggestions?

Have fun.

Kind of a tough one with the two zebras in different focal plane. No biggie as your dof covers the diff, but that places the zebra between them also in focus, pulling us down/left a bit away from the main two. Might try some selective blur (subtle or it will look too unnatural) to reduce the draw a bit (2nd one).

Went with mono and square crop ... subjective @ diff it makes, but offered for comparison.

I also used Dan Margulis actions @ Big Hammer & Sharpen (which were too much) and dialed them back to taste.

I like your crop and processing, except it may be better to exclude the ears from the vignette.

Thanks guys.
Worked on the vignette over the ears, slightly warmed over same area.
Noticeably better?

Zebra on the left looks more blue than the one on the right ...

He does. Weird. Maybe some more selective warming is needed.
I have no idea why. No reflecting water nearby, sun looked evenly illuminating on the zebras.

+1 @ weird ... reading the light, one would think they really should be the same.

There is a very slight (<5 in most areas) amount of blue in the numbers @ the right side zebra (of no real concern). Maybe the vignetting application is enhancing the diff more strongly @ >10 as it gradually changes. What does the original file show @ diff between the two or at before/after vignetting application?
