Love the 'look' - "You're putting me on, right?".

Why is it these folks are more agreeable to photographs (my assumption anyway) than the dudes on the motorcycles?

Diggin' the technicals ... their fondness for color seems well presented without being overcooked. Same for skin texture.

Bob

they are more agreeable
they were paid
and they seemed to welcome the interactions, were truly friendly

one of the sources of revenue for the Maasai is to have visitors to their boma, allow pictures to be taken, sell more beadwork.
as a general cultural rule, Tanzanians and the Maasai do not like to be photographed. We passed a Maasai village thousands of feet away nestled in folds of the grassy hillsides. I wanted to do a landscape shot.....no way anyone could be seen in the image and even if I missed that, no way anyone could be identified. I was politely but firmly told by our guide not to take the picture.

Good. Glad I got the technicals right.
Thanks.

Scott,

Good looking shot - the plaid contrasts really well with the dark skin.

What else can I add nothing, perfect exposure, framing and presentation. Well done!

Thanks. The colors of their robes, sadly mass-produced, are rich and beautiful.
