Well this should be sufficient space

24 photos isn't a lot of photos even with 8gb of ram

Can you repeat the problem?

Henrik

Everything appears normal until I hit OK on photomerge. At that point it drops to a snail pace. With about 80 / 90% of the progress arrow showing I get a pop-up, Too large to process. I cut all images to 200 pixels (from 240) and it produced a pano but when I hit save it said, too large to save. Jim

Is there a pixel limit, such as 50,000 pixels on the long side of any image that is being edited ?

To the best of my knowledge there is not. Thanks, Jim

There used to be a 30,000 pixel limit but that was increased to 300,000 several years ago. The former limit still applies to many printing situations though.

Jim,

When the pop-up comes up, what does the message say exactly, word-for-word? Does it really literally show "Too large to process"?

Thanks Peter. I have stopped working on this image until my new ram sticks arrive. Jim

Thanks. I have stopped working on this image until my new ram sticks arrive. I will send the information if this does not fix the problem. Jim

This ^^^^^ is the most important thing - you do have to "tell" Photoshop where to look for all that free space on your drive. Extra RAM shouldn't hurt, either.

(like Henrik, writing from memory...)

Happy post-processing

You just gotta love the community effort to help.

Hopefully useful, at the very least, generous.

Roger that ... getting help when we need it, helping others when we can. That's a big part of why we stick around so long and what makes FM ... well, FM.

Thanks Fred.

Hi Kent. After following the suggestions given here I just ran a panorama that ended up at 5 ft. wide by 15ft. long. Over 7 GB. in size. I am amazed. Jim

You're gonna post that full size, right.

Seriously, you gotta show us what you're working on ... downsized preferably, so you don't crash the site.

agree mostly with the above, ps is crap for large complex multi multi file panos. APP is my preferred route and is much faster and more ram effiencent,
