We are at the peak of fall color right now here in New York City. The dark clouds produced very little light under the canopy for me to spot this robin. Just after I’d focused on it, it leaped upward and I held down the shutter releasing 3 frames, the first caught the robin facing in the opposite direction and it appears that it spun around as it went for this berry. The last frame did not capture the robin as it had gone off to the right and I had paned up. I’m very happy that my camera was able to maintain focus lock on the moving bird and that balanced fill flash gave me such a nice exposure.
