Too busy?
Effective?
Other thoughts?

Fascinating, collision of worlds and cultures.

I like it for what it conveys, B&W serves well, I don't think color would ever quite focus the message.

Scott, B/W is a good choice for the image, like the diagonal line of the motorcycles but wish for a little separation of the motorcycles and people behind enjoying the market.

Cool Image.

This is how I would see it.

Almass, I dig how the blur makes the motorcycle dudes pop, but to me it implies motion.

I am ok with the image being really busy because that's exactly how I'd expect to find a market bustling with people.

Scott, how did everyone receive getting their photo taken?

Thanks, Bob. Wanted busy, because it was. Went BW because it was too riotous in color.

Thanks almass (I always prefer a real name, if you are in a sharing mood)j I get the separation of primary subject from background concern.

Glad the busyness worked for you.
An answer to your question.

This was the first day of our safari and the first task was to head out of town. Arusha bustles with more than a million inhabitants and the markets are very crowded on the weekend. We were told it really isnt well-received to take photos without asking and it was also implied that the market might not be safe. So, down this dusty road we went from luxury lodge to head to the hills and the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. I did a couple very quick grabs from our lurching vehicle as we made our way through the crowded street. Not sure anyone saw me grabbing their likeness.

Very cool capture and thanks for the backstory.

I really like the contemplative biker being the central aspect of the image.

Cheers,

Jeff

+1 @ B&W

A few micro tweaks, and a slight crop. The info above the canopy seems insignificant, pulled it down a touch, likely not a big change, but that's about all I really see. I think it is what it is @ a busy scene of a busy place.

A rad crop just for comparison. Not sure you need the entire scene to convey its busy-ness, so you could play with much, as the mass of the motorcycle wheels, etc aren't fully needed to convey the bikes.

Just brainstorming ...

Thanks Kent.
The second crop of yours works for me, although the message is different.

Here is why color is just too much
