So I got my refurb 6D from Canon just in time to give it a test run before trick-or-treating time started.
My children love the game Minecraft (and to be honest, it's actually pretty cool....give it a whirl), so for this Halloween instead of going scary like everyone else does, I set up a Minecraft-themed decoration (built myself) and built the kids costumes to match.
One thing about the 6D -- shadows lift pretty darn well on it, I'm impressed. Nothing like crazy 10-stop lifts, but I was able to push shadows to 100 in testing on a few shots and saw very little (if any) banding. Not bad!
Just a couple of pop shots below, nothing serious (though I did some shadow work on my kid shot and it turned out fine).
So far I like the camera, outer points seem to work pretty well. I really, really hate the directional wheel, though -- too bad it doesn't have a joystick.
