p.1 #1 · High in the Andes----Four Children

As their mothers knitted and sold clothing garments to the few tourists that stopped, these four children just stood there like this, watching.
I raised my camera slowly, they looked at me, I took their picture.
The carefully poised expressions were of their own doing.

It's tough to know what the two on the ends are thinking. Again, the colors are great.

Nice 'posed' shot. The one with the stick and the metal(?) rim on the ground. For me your photo is very interesting with more than meets the eye. Thanks for posting it.

Thanks Bob and Rytr.
The Andean Indios like bright colors, but since getting water and heating it is such a time-consuming chore because they live at or above tree line- they don't wash much (neither clothing nor bodies).
The bicycle tire rim was the basis of a game. Get the rim rolling and keep it rolling with the stick held by the older boy.
Trying to figure out what the people (especially the kids) were thinking was too difficult for me.
I have some theories- but they are just that.
