This is one of the twig-mimic, cryptically coloured (this species available in brown or green) and textured caterpillars of the looper family Geometridae. Although this species has three generations per year this is the first I have found. (NB do not confuse this with the Brimstone butterfly).

E-P2, Kiron 105mm macro, 1/40 to 1/60 f8 ISO 800, hand-held, daylight.
