Hey Justin,
Wow... well worth the sweat I would say! What a really super cool shot here, you are getting my vote for the featured thread.

Thanks Jim, I appreciate the vote!

50 lbs sounds a little excessive for back packing - but the pic definitely made it worth all that effort! This pic is a classic - 5 stars!

Yeah I agree, it was way to much weight! This was only my second overnight hike so I didn't really know what to bring, and my gear isn't all that light to begin with. I probably didn't need to bring all my lenses either hahaha!

I knew I had seen this scene before! Thought I was going crazy. Bryan Swan has a shot from the same spot on the same night, noticed in his description he mentioned seeing you and Dustin.
Killer shot dude.. perfectly executed. Same pretty awesome conditions you were treated to for such a hard journey, you must be in positive karma
Yeah we met Bryan and Jamey Pyles at that hut in the background. Nice dudes, and super talented too! I have the same exact comp that Bryan won thread of the week with a while ago but I wanted to post something different with a more in-your-face shot. His was slightly better then my comp anyways

Gorgeous. I envy you the will and ability to do that sort of hike. It takes you to another dimension of photography.
Thanks Ben. No reason to envy. In all honesty, you can get equally nice views from the easy access of paradise park, and the flowers there are on par or better then this location. The mountain is beautiful from all angles!
