Engagement photo session in Toronto with Longines/Hugo Boss/Armani/Prada. Oh, and people too. www.jclayphoto.com bringing it homeeeeeeeeeeee!

But seriously, it's nice when clients you book fit your style and are onboard from the get-go. Nothing kills a sesh like poor planning and/or poor wardrobe. Just 1 for now, but let's chat e-sessions - how involved are *you* in your clients setup day of?

Spot on JC, it makes a massive difference. I hate turning up to a e-sesh with no concept or planning.

The last one I did (well it was actually a pre-wedding) was all really quite planned. We pitched them an idea, they went for it then we planned it all. Everything from booking transport, cars/boats/other props to be used in the photos and obviously working with them for wardrobe.

Love it when a plan comes together.

May I ask why you don't just refer to them as 'sessions' instead of a 'sesh'?

"Sesh" concentrates the quality more, so you can charge more for it.

Pretty much this. I was calling them 'sh's but it got confusing.

This completely. Investing proper time in advance makes huge differences in the end product

Good topic. Definitely need to be more involoved especailly with the clothing aspect. I had too many e-sessoins with bad clothing even though I send them info and examples on clothing beforehand. My clients seriously need a clothing stylist. I think I need to do an actual phone call and have a conversation to improve this aspect.

I will often ask them to send pics of options they have...certainly helps!

Another not so good clothing choices on my e-session today. Got to figure out a way to help people do a better job of picking their clothes without going to their home and going through their closets.

And all this time I thought it was short for 'sheesh'
