I have a Sears 105mm f2.8 Macro and a 60-300mm f4.0-5.6 Macro lens with Kr mount. With the D7100 being able to meter with Non-Cpu lens and since I had these lens I thought I would how see well they worked in Macro. I made an adapter and the 105 actually does pretty good. So I ordered a Fotodiox adapter. The adapter has a 1.4x removable double element diopter for infinity focus. Am I right in assuming the diopter wil function like a teleconverter and the 105mm f2.8 will become a 147mm f4.
Now before everyone starts telling me what a bad idea this is. It's just something I'm playing with. It may lead to me picking up some Non-CPU Nikon Glass.

A 1.4 is a diopter and will make a "longer" lens. That lens has to be about 40-50 years old. I had a Sears 35MM back when I was in my twenties. I'm 67 now.

Actually I think I got it in the late 70s with a Sears SLR film camera. I've had these lens boxed up in the closet for years. Looking at E-bay all three lens (also have a 50mm 1.2) are only worth about $100. With the D7100 being able to meter with them. I thought it would be an interesting project.
