Hello all,

I will be in Minneapolis the third week of November. Is Ft. Snelling THE place to photograph wildlife, or are there more productive areas anyone would care to recommend?

Thank you,

Tracey

Hey,

I will have a car, and I could hang out five days or so.

Thank you,

Tracey

Here is a list of Minnesota Birding Hotspots which would contain some possibilities for photography.

The Sax Zims bog is about a 2 to 2 1/2 hour drive from the Twin Cities and that might be a possibility, although November might be a little early depending on the weather.

Tracey, check out the National Wildlife Refuge HQ on the east side of Bloomington, along the Minnesota River bottoms.

Yes the Minnesota Valley National Wildlife Refuge is located near the Airport in Bloomington and they have several units that are a part of that such as the Bass Ponds or the Black Dog area.

A lot will depend on what is frozen over at that time. Black Dog is near a Power Plant and that area remains open and attracts waterfowl/swans etc.
