Thanks everyone for looking in and commenting. Its always important to get up and out early. We always go out 1/2 hour before the other lodge vehicles. I've taken many of my best photos before the others even get moving. I always make sure I have the ability to go early and stay late if the sightings are good. Something to consider when booking.
I will try to answer peoples comments and provide helpful tips in each post.

Another very nice set Don. The lion action is great, and the Kudu is such a beautiful animal. And a neat pose on the Hornbill. Keep 'em coming ~ Ron

Hey Don, if you and I were at the same camp we'd be getting up earlier and earlier to out 1/2 before the other...we could go together and solve that problem...another day. Anyway, love the light on the amorous pair. I guess it's just a matter of time before she wears down his defenses. The old boy in the first has seen better days and needs a good dentist..nice facial expression on that one. Love hornbills and since they are so numerous you start to take them for granted after awhile.

Yup, lovely light on the lions! Great expressions and poses. This may be the first time I've seen a male animal turn down the opportunity to mate. Hornbill shot is pretty neat too.

All are great shots, but the lighting in #2 makes it my pick of Day 2.

Thanks Ron. Kudu are one of the most beautiful antelope, quite common in Botswana and easy to approach. Don

getting up earlier and earlier to out 1/2 before the other. You missed the details Eric he also said and stay late. That would trump getting up earlier, just never go to bed for the whole stay!

Love the shots of the lions...first shot is a great pose, and the light in the next is fantastic...Makes a difference in getting up a little earlier...Guess he just can't keep up with those young girls anymore. Liagra is the answer. Seems like the Kudu is keeping an eye on you as well.
