I picked this very unique camera up here a few months ago and just haven't used it as much as I had thought. I almost always reach for my Ricoh GR these days and use my M3 for rangefinder shorting.
Up for sale is my Epson R-D1 digital rangefinder camera. For those who do not know, this was the very first digital rangefinder which uses a Leica M lens mount. It has a very film-like shutter advance, and the rear LCD screen flips inward. One of my favorite features is the 1:1 viewfinder, a big change from the Leica M series! My 40mm Summicron has lived on this camera since I got it, but it has also performed well with a 21, 35, 50 and 90mm lenses (only 28, 35 and 50 framelines are on the camera). In our short time together, it has performed flawlessly. The rangefinder patch is aligned and accurate and the dials are also working and accurate.
This sale includes; the original white box, all paperwork, strap and accessories, along with 3 lenmar batteries that hold a good to fair charge, a Zhou half case, and the extremely hard to find eyepiece magnifier (1.25x I believe) to make focusing those fast 50's a little easier, and two 2GB SD cards. The original eyepiece that belongs on the camera when not using the magnifier is missing and came that way to me. I have never missed a beat without it as there is no ill effect on operation, it's just a protective piece.
I am asking $900 which includes PayPal and shipping fees. Insurance, if desired, is to be paid by buyer. Please PM me with any questions.
I will post photos later tonight or tomorrow for interested parties.
