are you guys selling 8x12 photos? What do you do about framing/mounting, etc? I hate the thought of cropping to 8x10 in camera when my sensor's format is 8x12.

I feel like I should be selling offset gallery wraps and not sheets of paper that the customer has to mount/frame themselves.

thoughts?

With a number of avenues of my work, 8x12's are ALL I sell.
I Buy up stocks of different frames and offer them to the clients and sell them regularly and steadily.

Thanks. Any recommendations for nice frames for them?

You can sell an 8x12 mat with the photo, which will fit an 11x14 frame.

My wife usually just buys whatever is on special somewhere at the time. I mainly use them for event work so black or black with a gold edging works well. We get them in timber or aluminium, whatever is going for the right price. Sometimes she will pick up some light timber ones but mainly we just buy up and stock whatever is cheap and cheerful in black.. Doesn't matter, we take a bunch of mixed ones for whatever we have on and the clients buy them all.

Often when they buy frames it's for a gift so they aren't too picky on the framing anyway as long as it's not terribly unsuited to the pic.
Black goes with every pic and every decor so we offer the Ford Model T designer range of frames mainly and leave it at that.
