Finally visited the spanish monastery in North Miami Beach. This 12th century monastery was purchased in early 20th century and moved to US, brick by brick, where it was later reassambled.

I went there to try out some architectural HDR photography, so all of these are either 3 or 4 frame HDR, merged in HDR Efex Pro.

Lovely photos. Don't think I agree with the Monastery being moved though. Seems the wrong thing to do

I agree. Not sure what was the reason for Spain to sell it though. We're taking about 1920 era so who knows. The guy that actually bought and disassembled it went bankrupt before he put it back, and the crates sat in some warehouse for years. Someone else ended up buying the pieces and reassembling it in North Miami. I would have preferred it returned to Spain though.

The best part about the Monastery is that it is tucked away off of Dixie HWY and people drive by it daily and never know it's there. Great photos

Yea - I lived few blocks away for 10 years and had no idea!

Yes, yes! I don't think I've ever seen HDR done so well; certainly not by me in my few attempts.

I usually HATE HDR, it is usually too overdone and has that obvious HDR look. Your HDR is nice and subtle. Well done, I would have not known you used HDR if you did not tell me.

This is HDR at it's best. So well balanced I would not have guessed it. Fantastic work!

At least it's up for people to see and enjoy, nice shots.

Thanks for the comments. This is pretty much my first successful attempt at HDR, as my prior attempts resulted in very unreal images.
For comparison, this is non-HDR middle exposure (out of 4 I used for the composite) of Photo 5:

I don't think it's that much different from the final photo ...

On my monitor it's dramatically different. It looks bland compared to the HDR version.
