in a Fuji X100s, XE-1, XPro-1 BW thread?

Don't have anything to start at the moment but maybe someone can launch an image or two?

X100 okay, or are you more concerned with the X100S?
I can play if you don't care about the S series.

Tim,

Doesn't matter to me, just trying to get something going that might spark some participation and interest - X100 - go for it!

I have a personal interest in seeing what folks come up with - is there something special or simply another tool for creating BW images? I personally like the idea of 3rd party glass on that camera and intend to explore that once a converter arrives.

Terrific images, Bob.
Someone took a lot of time to make that unusal cart mess in the parking lot!
And the other shots show great character and characters.
Nice work!

Here's one from my X100. I will admit to this being a three-shot HDR piece. All in-camera b/w, however.
Edit - shot from a shaky, bouncing bridge, so not as sharp as this camera is actually capable of doing.

Still trying to learn the XE-1...and B&W.

Cold and foggy, it inspired me somewhat...

C&C welcomed.

Very nice Lazlo, love the tonal range, crispness, and reflections off the tarmac.

Carriage on right appears more European than US!

Hi, guys.
Some terrific images here- and they're of the kind I especially like.
I have a couple of questions:
Is the Fuji known for something special? Is it digital? Or film?
Or are you nice folk starting a lonely hearts club because everyone else is shooting Canons and Nikons?

Three from today - the beekeeper was kind enough to let me include his family - wife, daughter and grand-daughter.

Still climbing the XP1 learning curve. RAF processed with PhotoNinja, then to CS6 and SEPro2 via LR.

Only speaking for myself - I tired of carrying all the DSLR crap around, then debating endlessly how and what to use. Been looking to downsize - that chapter of my life - and read about mirrorless RFs or pesudo RF depending on brand.

Took the plunge - and loving it. Fuji colors are much more appealing to me, ISO 3200 without looking twice. and the 35mm prime, f1.4 is the sharpest lens I've used - I thought my 17-55mm f/2.8 Nikkor was, but not now. Still have 2 DSLRs for sports and fast moving kids. Sold off others to pay for the Fuji. But for travel, they'll stay home.

As far as the thread, just curious to see what others are doing.

Thanks Bob.
So I'm guessing the "Fuji" is a modern digital camera that combines some of the good features of the digital world with the small, light, simplicity of the rangefinder film world from not so long ago.
Do I have that about right?

Yes, completely correct. Check out the Fujifilm x100s, what got the ball rolling for Fujifilm. Panasonic, Sony, Ricoh and others also have products in this market, as well as Canon and Nikon.
