Jim, sorry @ terms usage
masking value = threshold (4 - 12)
30-60 = amount

But this for a split/two-layer approach vs. a flattened image.

Sometimes I use four layers (two @ light/dark for contrast, two @ light/dark for detail), but that's somewhat infrequent.

I've found a simple very effective method of sharping without over sharpening is by using Capture One's Auto Sharping and then zoom to 100% and peak the sharping using Clarity/Structure.
