The second is real nice Eric. Try taking some off the right side and that rock makes a great natural frame

I agree about the uniqueness on this forum- and thanks kindly for sharing these, Eric.
An odd bird- for sure. Shot taken in Africa, I'm guessing; and it's quite a bit smaller than the ostriches, too.
But I disagree about your assessment of the image quality, however

The second image has potential that hasn't yet been brought out, IMO. Morris had a good idea about the crop (step #1).
With your kind permission- I'd like to add an edit I made (step #2). Basic stuff because it's all I can figure out how to do on the GD PhotoShop!

So, Eric, can you handle it!?

South America? Gee whiz. The termite mound helped me to make my mistake. Guess there are termite mounds in the New World, also.
How many million years have passed since Africa and South America were joined? A great many, I'm guessing.
Thanks, Eric- here's my quick edit. Note: all steps I took used sliders, so there was an infinity of possibilities.
What I did was copy your posted image, resize to 800, use auto-color slider, then brightness/ contrast sliders, and finally the sharpness slider. Basic stuff.
Let me know if you want me to pull it.
