Daughter wanted to try on her new vintage polka dot dress...

Did an impromptu shot with the el-cheapo camera...

Not the best quality but fun none-the-less...

My monitor is showing way to much "green"...

Gotta love the pose, but the colours are "off". Try some white balance adjustments.

Great shot. Great mood. Great colors. Don't change a thing. The mood you've created is perfect for the period. A great example of when to deviate from neutral and boring.

Love the colors ,accentuates the vintage look, color and contrast remind me of some prints I have in an old album from the 60's. I wouldn't change a thing.

Agree with the others on the color cast. This shot has tons of potential. Love to see what you could do with it using your not-so-el-cheapo camera.

This is also the perfect type of image for a "cheapo" camera. That only adds to the mood and probably gets you much closer to the cool vintage look faster and more effectively than if you had used really high end gear. There's a reason a lot of us still shoot film and often use Holgas and Dianas rather than an IQ180.

Don't change the color! It has a vintage feel! People pay for filters to get that feel! (Or use Instagram!)

Thanks to all for the comments.

I understand the color treatment may not be for all. I was not going for technically correct skins tones. I was going for retro as some had noticed. This effect was added in post and not out of the camera.

I love this - it is such a fun shot and your daughter is beautiful! I think the vintage toning works here.

Great - as always - Russ. Curious about your shutter speed - her left hand is quite blurred...

EXIF shows f2.8, 1/500, ISO 400, 30mm lens, no flash.

Hmm, my cheapo camera (Diana) doesn't produce EXIF!

Love the shot! It's fun!

Well, I guess cheapo is relative...FZ200 Panasonic...about $500

I am comparing it to the thousands I have spent on DSLR...

Shutter speed was on the low end for this type of shot...she was spinning...
