Late afternoon produced some nice light. Hope you enjoy these.
Gotta love the excitement of a new species, even if you don't have a clue what it is until later, just gotta concentrate on getting the shots. Must remember not to delete ALL the pics in camera before dl to PC as shots of the back may not be keepers but def. help with the IDs !!
Never seen the Little Friarbird (imm.) before (usually get Helmeted Friarbirds), bee eaters always look good but even better in nice light, imm Figbird - good to see the transition and Mr. Yellow Bellied sunbird, the nearest we get to hummers although he wasn't exactly being co-operative !
1. immature Little Friarbird
2. Mr. Sunbird. Lovely breastplate purple/blue irridescent colours if you can get the light on them !
3. immature male Figbird
4. Rainbow Bee Eater
5. imm. male Figbird, trying to figure out who/what I was and what I was doing.
6. another of the Little Friarbird
