East of Bryce- a rough dirt road heads south to Lake Powell.
And some seldom seen scenes.

Nice shot, Charlie. That's one of my favorite drives in Utah.

The road less travelled for sure. Great comp to illustrate the area. There are some very dramatic views along this road.

Nice one Charlie - fascinating contours and coloration in the rocks.

That looks like the perfect setting for an epic red sunrise or sunset.

Thanks Stan, CA, Phil, Justin, Jim and AMaji.
I lived in SW Utah for a few years, and owned a couple of real 4X4s. Most of the dirt/crushed rock roads didn't require a 4X4 with low-range transfer case, high clearance and short overhangs front and rear, but it was always nice to have them so I didn't have to turn around and return on the same roads when I got to a washout.

Thanks RXGolf.
The many layers of sandstone and limestone in this area provide many kinds of minerals, and with the uplifting and subsidence of major rock pieces, plus the erosion throughout millions of years- can give a variety of colors, and with the pretty light that day, those colors were subtle but quite nice.
