Its been a long, long time since I posted here - too long. I hadn't used my trusty 1Ds Mk2 for ages, getting caught up with work and other things - but yesterday I was reminded why I used to enjoy photography so much.
A storm was arriving in Malta around midnight, and as I'd never taken a lightning shot before, I setup the camera on the tripod with my remote release - set it to Bulb, F10 and hoped for the best. I experimented with ISO and aperture variations, but the shutter speed was solely by hand - as soon as I saw the lightning start I would press the button, and release a few seconds later once I'd finished.
I wasn't hoping for much, but I was really pleased with how they turned out.
Does anyone else have any tips on settings - or is it just a case of experimenting? And yes I know my sensor needs cleaned
