p.1 #1 · p.1 #1 · Export LR5 develop settings to LR4?

I have a few dozen RAW files with basic develop edits and ratings in a LR5 catalog. I thought I'd be able to copy the raw files & XMP files over to a LR4 catalog to preserve the edits & ratings, but the LR5 XMPs don't seem to be readable by LR4. Any workarounds to this, or do I have to manually re-do everything that was done in LR5?

The LR5 photos are coming from a different computer.

Given that the process version and sliders are different in LR5, I'm not surprised. If you have to do this, try editing with the earlier process version in LR5. Maybe that will work.

Thanks for the ideas Sunny & Bruce. I reverted the process version to 2010 and recopied the XMPs, but I'm not sure that was even necessary. There's an icon in the upper right of the thumbnail in the library, if you click it, LR tells you that the metadata has been changed by an external app (in this case, LR5), and lets you decide if you want to import those settings, or overwrite them with any edits you make in LR5. So the simply solution is to select all files in the catalog, click the "metadata changed" icon, and import settings. Since I had reverted the process version, I also went into develop and auto synched the process to current.

BTW, the settings for the Graduated Filters did not import into LR4 correctly. Their placement seemed right, but exposure & highlights were set to zero after the import in LR4.
