Reb bull has always held their events in scenic places where it is a shame to not shoot wide. It's the certain style that red bull photographers give red bull.

Action sports are a whole different ballgame than "normal" sports that most of the members on here are used to shooting.
With action sports, context is key, the athlete isn't on a field, court, etc, so we(as viewers) don't really know what to expect like we do when we see a football play etc. This means in action sports you have to be able show where the athlete is coming from, what they are doing, and where they are going.
That and these sports bring you to some very special locations that would be a shame not to showcase, and that really create what is so special about the moment and the trick.

I hope that makes some sense.
As an action sports photographer, Red Bull Illume and the images from it are probably my greatest inspiration, some truly amazing images.
