These pieces of kelp were quite close to each other when the tide turned.
I may have moved a couple of pieces closer together (can't remember). But if I did, it was minimal- just to get them together but not to create a design.
I stood over them- watched out for my shadow and shot straight down.
Sometimes the colors of kelp are unimaginable- as these were to me.
No filters or saturation. Just Kodak slide film and normal scanning and processing.
Discovered, captured, shared...well done Charlie...what a wonderful image! I keep coming back, more is revealed each time, you have brought us a bit of nature in grand form!

Much of Point Lobos State Natural Reserve has restrictions regarding where you can walk. It's necessary because of the delicate nature of those restricted areas- but it can inhibit photography.
Still- there's a whole lot of potentially great things to discover.
