I spent a few days in Dauphin Island, AL where fishing is one of the main activities.
Me and my brother in law (more him than me) caught a seven foot shark fishing from the shore. It took us more than 40 minutes (and more than a mile walk) to reel in to shore that fish.
Once on the shore we released it, which was the most difficult part of all.
I had my 7D with the 100-400 and was able to get a few shots. What is interesting is that in some of these shots the shark seems to be smiling, to the point that some of my friends thought I had them photoshopped.
This reminded me of the famous movie Jaws where in the final scene the actor Roy Sheider before shooting the shark(some of you may remember) says that famous phrase; "Smile, you son of a b!t@h!!."
I cloned out the hook and line in some of these as it was hurting me just looking at it.
Hope you find these interesting.
