I am looking hard at the Pixel King Pro that were released a month or so back. Lots of positive reports so far. I think they just release a Nikon version as well. No hotshoe on top of the odin is what has kept me from purchasing it. I think these might just work.

I swore off Pixel triggers after my Pixel King (not Pro) set crapped out after a few months. Now I have the Odin. Lovin' it! I have the strato I as well. The only thing I miss about the Pixel King is that it came with an awesome carrying bag.

Mark,

With the Radio Popper PX units, make sure the foam "doughnut" that seals between the PX receiver and the IR window on the SB-900 does not shift and block that communication. I kind of "permafied" mine, chucking the "doughnut" and using some pieces of craft foam glued to the RP bracket. Once I did that, success rate went into the high 90% rate. I also use a velcro strap to wrap around the entire SB-900/RP combo. Makes the unit very solid and still allows quick access. I'll try to post a picture of that if you're interested.

Thanks for the reminder but I've always been pretty in tune to that problem. It's looking like I my have a bad receiver. Got to call them tomorrow to see if it can be fixed.

This is the same review that has gotten my attention. I really want a trigger where I can have greater control of the power levels from camera location of the OCF.

If 1) the OCF is sensitive to the direction the IR receiver is pointing, and 2) the on-camera flash is set to master, the system is trying to use the Nikon CLS. Setting the OCF to manual and the on-camera flash to TTL or manual should resolve the problem.

After reading through almost the entire review I realize that there is no Nikon version and nothing on the horizon in any foreseeable future.
