Took this shot at Cascade Lake in Idaho. There was a nice natural soft box in the sky from all the fires in the area.

Canon 6D f4.5 1/350sec ISO200 85mm

I'm sure everyone agrees that you have a very nice looking wife. Without knowing what she looks like in person, it appears (in this photo) that the color of her face doesn't match the color of her hands & arms, the skin on her face looks too smooth, and her eyes look too white. Is it possible that you got a little carried away in post-processing? It's a bit hard to see at first glance, but there also appears to be a dark patch (shadow?) that starts at her left cheek and extends downward an inch or two.

Nice lighting, but it does appear to be over processed. Although I prefer very natural images with minimal, if any, touchup. I agree with BigIron, it looks like there is something that was patched/healed/cloned on her cheek.

I did soften her face a bit, but whenever I scale the photos down the cross processing stands out more. As for her cheek nothing was cloned what you are seeing is her earring that's blowing in the wind. Thanks for the comments and suggestions guys.

It's on the other left cheek....the one that's closest to the camera.

I like it, it would look great in B&W as well...

She has such a warm, relaxed smile! I can see why you really like this photo.

You might wan to consider cloning out her right earring and that little puff of hair next to her right eye.

That flyaway on the top of her head is bothersome as well. Maybe you could simulate blur from the wind to keep it from being so sharp against the background.
