I have has an E-P2 for a couple of years.. I use it for a lot of macro. (I recently started to post images here in Macro World) and having to remove the VF-2 to use flash is unacceptable. I will be upgrading to the E-M1 next year.

Anyway, m4/3 gives access to all sorts of adapters for using legacy film lenses. My macro lenses include a Leitz Elmarit 60mm, a Vivitar Series 1 (Kiron) 105mm 1:1 macro and various bellows or enlarger lenses.

There are also tilt and tilt/shift adapters available, one used here for macro:

https://www.fredmiranda.com/forum/topic/1247442

Beside macro, the 20mm registration distance permits some lenses to be used at infinity which cannot be so used by cameras with longer distance. Here is a crop to portrait format (height +/- unchanged) of a shot through a Schneider Apo 40mm HM enlarger lens at f11, hand-held:

Just received an EM1, so I slapped on my 75-300 mft ver. 1 lens to see how one of my favorite subjects came out. Definitely better than it did with my previous EM5 nor Sony NEX 5N before that. The DR and resolution rendering is pretty sweet, expecially since this is just Jpeg. I haven't done any RAW's yet but that is typically how I prefer to shoot in general. So here's my first two.

Now I know why Flickr is named as it is. When I scroll on Flickr images (MacBook Pro 13" non-Retina, scrolling via trackpad), the whole image flickers!

I can report that my E-M5 cameras are upgraded to firmware 2.0 and work fine. Lower ISO and smaller focus points are nice to have. I wish the optional manual focus magnified area started from the new smaller box - unfortunately not, 'tho.

They posted an update that it's NOT a constant F2.8.

Still nice to have a really small 70-200 lens even if it's not a constant f2.8. May have to get one in addition to the Zuiko 40-150 with a constant f2.8 aperture which will be my "serious" lens. A good 300mm at f2.8 is hard to resist and will complement the 300/4 + TC really well.

That would still be a fantastic little travel lens though, even if it will be slow. F2.8 was never realistic in the first place, don't know why people go their hopes up.

I hardly ever really shoot much tele stuff, but sometimes there is that certain scene you'd like some compression for, or just could use the reach, and with as small as this one looks, really wouldn't even know its tossed in the bag.

I enjoy a couple of faster, yet still compact primes with my GM1, like the 14/2.5, 25/1.8 and 45/1.8 as a 3 lens travel combo, but given the size, a 12-32 and 35-100 sure would pack quite a bit of versatility and, assuming its as good as the 12-32, pretty darn good IQ into a small little kit

With this processing and sharpness, I'd almost think this photo is a Farm Security Administration photo from the depression era.....
SORRY - I posted this on another page, so it is out of context here. I don't post much - obviously.

This is in response to cputek's posting on the previous page of this thread. (the two kids on a truck).....

I now have the EM-1. The same considerations apply, above all the availability of the eye-level viewfinder when using flash on the hot shoe; plus the better sensor; better and larger, tilting rear screen; plus digital zoom and focus peaking, give me better and easier results and more flexibility. I am currently getting excellent macro results with a Printing Nikkor 105mm.

Some really nice images in this thread.
They remind me, again, of why I dumped my optically fine - but physically large & heavy - Pentax DSLR system and switched/migrated to the much lighter micro four thirds.
My current GX7 is one of the best cameras I've ever owned.
Ever.
