p.1 #1 · DP Merrill for long exposures... Northern Lights?

I do a fair amount of aurora photo work at night. Always up for higher quality with the digital gear. Will the DP Merrill bodies put out the quality I keep hearing about with 15 second to minute exposures at night?

Generally shoot at ISO settings of 200 to 400. At times forced up to 800 and even 1600.

With "The Look" I keep hearing about I am curious as to the quality of images for night work from these bodies. Any info and experience is helpful. No place within an 8 hour drive to get one to try out so check here online first.

The longest shutter speed you can set is 30" and the camera is pretty noise above ISO100, maybe 400 max, except for b/w conversion (not a lot of sense in that for Aurora images I wouldn't think) so probably not really ideal for choice for that.
