p.1 #1 · Video lighting, softboxes

Does anyone here shoot video? If so what lights are you using? I'm looking for some easy to set up and take down soft boxes and work with fluorescent lighting (CFLs) I've found some but all the reviewers say the setup time is to long. I'd like some video lights where I can put up the three light setup in 15 minutes.

My current video setup is very primitive, clamp lights. For stills I have a Norman power pack system. If only the model lights were 10X more powerful.

I have a couple large soft boxes from Westcott. Heavy canvas build and metal rods. Designer for hot lights. In fact so heavy I can't pull them apart most of the time. If apart they are easy to put together. Screwing in the bulbs takes longer.

I also have set of 4 really cheap Britek units. I leave together as they fit in my back seat. Pull out and place on stand, already put together. Like I said they are cheap Vinyl and the soft box is nothing to brag about. Using for 3 years and still work so guess they are OK. Holds (4)55-85 watt bulbs.

For higher cost high watt and good quality look at Photoflex site. I have seen in person and they were nice. As good as my Westcott but holds super high watt bulbs around 150 watts each. Maybe 200 watts each.
