Edited today.
While i have been sick and not been able to to much I have been trying to come up with a good edit for pet portraits. Any feedback will be appreciated.

Great photo of a nice looking dog. You might want to clone out the piece of fur to the left of it's ear.

Hard to improve upon. One could consider some clone tool use - stray furs and tongue bubbles - but that is easily open to interpretation.

Is the native crop? Wouldn't mind seeing just a little bit more torso and chest.

But the big items you took care of beautifully.

Beautiful photo! I wonder if you could pull a little more 3D our of her muzzle with just a slight turn of her head - just a tiny amount to give a little definition to the length of her muzzle.

Processing is super cool on this. Its like a cross between a photo and a painting. Thanks for sharing.

Catchy look to this image, seems to be some creative enhancements to the detailing?

At first the tongue out was OK but after looking at it for a while I would prefer tongue in for an animal portrait. The ID tag is showing blank, perhaps remove or show detailing on it?

Yes, it give me a good feeling, my dog is my best pal!

Many thanks for all your comments and feedback.

I shall do something with the tag, maybe add the dogs name.
I shall also try and capture that 3D look when i next take some pet portraits.
The lighting I will be using next time will be a 6 to 7 light set up as I will get a much better result. The image above was (i am ashamed to say) just a 2 light setup but used well as thats all i had at the time as I was skint

Great work. I like the tongue out and also the tag should have been removed.

Wow, why seven lights

The pic is superb, not sure how adding so much light will help? Pardon my ignorance though..

Very nice shot. Your eye is pulled around the image in a pleasant way. Certainly a personal choice, but I would leave the tag. Being off center, it adds to the playful nature of the dog as in "Hurry up will you....throw the ball."

Life would be very different without dogs. Definitely one of His gifts.

Many thanks for your kind comments and feedback.

I am going to use more lights as I want to create more highlights and a more shadowless picture if that makes sense.

Nice job. One "test" of a view of a dog from this angle is the eyes and nose are in sharp focus. You past that test with flying colours and have great lighting in this pic.

Thank you Jim and thank you for pointing the test out, i shall use that with future pet images.
Thanks Chris.

I have replaced the original as i have added the name to the tag and also cropped it sightly.
