as you have gathered by now, "twiga" is giraffe in kiswahili. And seems so correct for these tall, leggy creatures.
thoughts about these?

Little giraffes are so *cute*!

Maybe some legs would help?

I'm with Aunti here, where's the legs!

#1 could be cropped top and bottom for a fun panorama-esque kind of shot.

+1 @ crop the sky down (intersection of sky/land directly above foremost giraffe ears) in number 1. Crop up from the bottom on "with legs" (lose about 1/2 - 2/3 of the grass below them).

#1 and "with legs" could make a nice pairing. Might want to relocate your signature on #1 though. It kinda impedes the little guy, who adds a bit of whimsy imo.

I especially like the first image, even without legs.

Love the first image where at first glance there appears to be a two headed giraffe. There are a lot of compositional things that are working for me in the image: the arc created by the 4 giraffes heads, looking in different directions, the giraffes' spotted exteriors contrasting against the green and gold background, the out of focus, gauzy background. The baby giraffe on the right is a gem of a surprise, like a piece of the woodwork, almost missed. Wonderful photo.

You described very well what worked for me when I took the image.
Glad you enjoyed all the elements at play

Yup.
If it goes to print I will sign the mat as I usually do. Do you sign the print?

I recently had a photography teacher tell me it was not a good idea to sign the mat. Maybe far fetched, but anyone could take your signed mat and substitute another photo in place of yours. He recommended signing the back of the print, or leaving a wider border and signing in the border area on the print. What do others do?

Many folks do sign the print on the front. I think I may begin to sign the backs of the prints but continue signing the mats.
I am curious what others do as well.
