Item updated in the last 24 hours    Leaf AFi-II 7 back (AFi/Hy6)

Item still Available

Price: $8,250.00
Payment method: PP (buyer covers fees) or wire.
Item condition: 9+ Shows little or no signs of wear
Shipping instructions: Shipping included - DHL, insured. Should be with you next day.

Never taken outside of the studio since it was acquired last summer - 705 clicks. Ships in Pelican case w/ two batteries, FW 800 L, charger, Leaf Capture Software.

PLEASE NOTE: this is *NOT* to be confused with the Leaf Aptus-II mount digital backs. The AFi-II features both an internally rotating sensor and a tilting LCD. ONLY the II-10 (56MP) and II-12 (80MP) models are available new from Leaf.

To the best of my knowledge, this can be traded in against a new Credo back at a 33% discount. I'm only selling this because I recently purchased a Credo by trading in my other II-7 back, and I'm using the funds from this to cover the purchase of the Hy6 mod2.

Hi there,

just a quick few q's re: back

Is this back still available?

How old is the back? Does it have any warranty?

How come actuations are so low?

Does this back have live view functionality on Leaf AFI cam as well as on a tech cam?

Is there a specific focus screen required for this back on AFI cam that will equate sensor size to view size?

Thanks

It is, indeed, still available. I've owned the back for a little over a year now - I also owned a P1 645DF/Leaf Aptus II 7 system so what I was shooting would largely dictate what system I was using. Outside of the studio I tend to use 35mm so.. essentially, unless I was doing headshots in studio I'd be using other systems.

It has live view through Capture One.

Sensor size is slightly smaller than the full 645 - I'd be shipping it with the respective focusing screen.

Thanks for the info.

Do you still have the Hy6 camera body or lenses?

Is the live view usable for commercial work and is it in colour?

Is there any warranty left on the back? My concern is buying the back sight unseen as well shipping an item of this value?

Again thanks,

I do still have the body and lenses, but I picked up a Credo 80 for the system so I'm not looking to sell any of those. That said, Rollei now has a US distributor - http://rolleiflex.us

New mod2 systems are available from them.

There no warranty left on the back to the best or my knowledge.

Re: liveview being 'usable' ..it's certainly not on even close to comparison with 35mm systems. But, that said, nor are the Credo/IQ backs.

There are people that *do* use it, but ..it really depends on what your expectations are.

Shoot me an email and I'll send a video over of live view in action.

Alex,

Thanks for the prompt response. I've been in touch with Eric Hiss at rolleiflex.us re: HY6 mid 2 body.

My email is zinaz@me .com.

Thanks,

Stefan
