Usually don't like vertical landscapes, but this one is beautifully done.

Hey Bob,

That must have been a really nice hike! I like the color version the best here.

Hi Bert & Jim,

Many thanks for your most welcome and kind comments and glad you like the image: it was a good time to be there in that wilderness place.

I'm a huge fan of vertical landscapes, especially of mountains. Really great job here. I too love the colour one!

Beautiful images, Bob. I think both color and B&W work, but I like the color most for really capturing the colors of the high Sierras.

Bob, both are really a treat for me. Sometimes there is such good color that it can make a good B&W look not so good. I think you have a really good B&W and that the color is stealing its credits

So both for me sir! Love the comp and the elements and depth of this image, stunning actually

Very nice and what a scene to shoot. One thing I'm not sure if I'm feeling is the foreground stone being that close to the bottom of the frame. Maybe having it slightly higher could balance the image better, but that's just my personal view.

Bob: It's not often that we see such brightness in landscapes like this. From the anchor stone, to the creek, to the range to the sky. It's a great image.
