A fine image, Scott.
Two of the biggest beasts and they pay no attention to each other.
But if a pride of lions wanders by... ATTENTION!
Interestingly- although you've isolated these animals from the vastness of the flat plains- it seems to me to actually emphasize that vastness.

Wow! Beautiful! And as Charlie said, you have very effectively displayed the vastness of the land and still shown the majesty of the elephants. A simple and powerful image.

A stunner - what does it for me is the mix of sunlight and shadow. The elephants really jump off the screen.

The only technical issue I can see at this particular size is, that it is more of a wildlife photo than a landscape photo. But it is very enjoyable nevertheless.

The elephants are a bit soft, with extra processing to compensate.
Some would question that shallow DOF with softness in the foreground.
