Hi all,

I would love to know some opinions about this image as my landing one in the frontpage of my site (it is already there).

Thanks

It's nice, but I don't think a "reception" image is the way to go.

I like it! I guess I don't follow Alan's reasoning on not showing a reception image (I have heard it from others from time to time as well). I mean it is a beautiful image, beautiful couple, shows emotion/action looks like they are having fun. I would think a bride could picture that being her on the dance floor and want to see more of your work. But that's just me.

I love it. I would keep it as the first image on your site.

Thanks for the comments,

The idea is what you described.

It is not exactly the reception but the final dance (excuse me if I am wrong and what you call "reception" it is exactly this stage) after the dinner and before the party till dawn so I am trying to transmit the idea of being able to capture that image and the whole beautiful dance they danced after 10-12 hours of shooting.

Thanks again

Here is a B&W version for Camerino

Love that image! I don't know your work at all but if this is representative of what you do I would say leave it where it is. I do prefer your color version better, your B&W conversion is blocking up the shadows too much, at least when viewing it on an iMac display. If you could do a better B&W conversion I might like B&W better.

I would brighten it up a bit, but it's a really strong choice. Great shot!

Thank you very much for the comment.

This photo represents the style I want to sell these days and want to do 100% in due time.

Tony Hoffer: why so bright apart from your personal style

MRomine: the shadows are blocked on purpose I think there is no need to see the people on the background in B&W so much they are a kind of accessory in the picture thanks why I blocked though very good point and blocking them it is only the way I like to see it maybe I wrong, see below what I was after.

Does this picture tells a bride something about you as photographer? Or that other couples can dance well?

It lacks punch, contrast, and seems dingy and underexposed. Based on your comments, you are very happy with the shot and seem less open to opinions then your original post suggests, moreso compliments. I agree that the image has potential, but lacks pop of a more refined edit to increase contrast and push the exposure more.

No problem,

Just give a go to the image if you feel like it.

Hmm.. I would never use that as a landing image. The image would not distinguish myself from any other photographer. You have great work on your website and many of those images would be more suited for your landing image.

I would not do much to it. I like the editing.

It distuinguishes you in as much as most dance shots are not particularly strong. This to me has impact and class.

I do think the couple is underexposed on my screen as well. Just my 2 cents.

I really like this image! I think it is probably atypical of most landing page images (which is inherently a good thing). It is a nice in the moment capture and both of them look great.

I'd agree with Tony that the BW needs a bit of work from a tonality stand point. But its a really nice image!
