Here are a couple shots I took with a new toy A Vivitar 70-210 f/4.5-5.6 macro manual focus, Nikon mount.

C&C Welcome!

All taken with a Nikon D90.

Wow! I am impressed that you got such sharp shots with manual focus and active kids. Not an easy task.
Thanks for sharing.

Thanks!! Although I'm afraid I was affected by a common phenomenon called beginners luck...

A couple of little nits. I would clone out the warning verbiage on the float. Also, not much you can do about it, but missing boy's hand makes it seem like you partially missed the shot. Otherwise, warm and intimate photos.

Excellent job capturing the kids shear pleasure.
I agree with eeneryma (real name?) about the hand. Interestingly, it looks like he might be jumping on a fence, or at least alongside. A bit disconcerting without seeing what he will and on/in.
In the first, I love the expression and kinda like the eye of the orca float(?) included. A tighter crop loses the context but makes a nice portrait if you roughly crop out the left half. I might be inclined instead to continue the unusual crop and cut from the top just down to where the pavement touches the float above her head.

Thanks for the feedback eeneryma, and sbeme!! It helps a lot! Its at our neghbors pool, there is a diving board right behind him, and he was tossed (gasp!!) off it into the pool.
