I'm thinking of selling one of the D700s, depending on how many weddings I book in the next year. When I stop shooting for money, everything will be sold except for the two compacts, and I might pick up an x100/s. Right now, there isn't really anything I'd like to buy besides an x100s, which I have no plans to buy at this time. Part of me would like a 24/2.8 for weddings, but given how I pretty much only use the 35/2 when shooting, part of me feels like I'd rarely, if ever, use it.

I recently joined the minimalist camp: Leica R7 with 21-35, 35/2.8, and 50/2, mostly with Ektar and a Pacific Imaging 7250pro3 scanner. Well, okay, minimalist compared to what I used to have.

I plan to get a mirrorless body, autofocus lens, and Speed Booster. I haven't been sold yet on any of the existing options. So I will wait for the fall announcements, and perhaps even the January announcements, then pick up a used X-Pro1 for cheap because it will be "obsolete" and my ideal digital camera will not have materialized. C'est la vida photog.

This looks like it could become the (un)official Alt Forum Swap Meet Thread

Would like to pick up a Zeiss 25 and a Mirex for M645 glass ... and maybe return some "idle" lenses into circulation. I seem to have settled in around the 24mm FL, so my Oly 18/3.5 and Oly 21/3.5 don't see the use that they could.

I toy with swapping them out for the Tokina 16-28/2.8, but just can't seem to pull the trigger to let them go. Same goes for several other lenses that I spent a good deal of time and effort to find, but just don't shoot with that much anymore.

I'll probably need an "intervention" to help me downsize.

EOS system:

- 5D - pretty happy with it, will go for a 5D2 or 6D one day but no hurry

- CZ Distagon 21/2.8 ZE
- Sigma 35/1.4
- CZ Makro-Planar 50/2 ZE
- Canon 100/2.8L IS
- Canon 135/2L

These lenses pretty much cover everything I do. It was a long road to get here, but I'm very satisfied with this gear. Of course, there's always something that could be added: I'd love to have a T&S lens (for close-up or macro work, not landscape) and something between 21mm and 35mm (for landscape) and between 50mm and 100mm (again for landscape) could be useful, but not planning to buy anything else for now. Well, maybe a 1.4x TC, to increase macro power (100L) and reach (135L). This is my choice system for 'serious' - but still amateur - photo work and what really gives me pleasure to use.

Sony RX-100. This was an attempt to have something lighter to take everywhere. It's an excellent piece of photographic equipment, but it doesn't work for me. I like having a viewfinder (optical or electronic, doesn't matter) and the ability to exchange lenses is something I value more than I thought, so this little camera is for sale and will be replaced by:

NX system:

- Samsung NX100
- Samsung 20-50
- Vivitar (Komine made) 28/2.8 Close Focus
- Konica Hexanon AR 57/1.4

This is a very recent investment and its goal is to have a lighter and smaller pack to carry around, besides being the 'excuse' to try some vintage lenses - something I always liked to do but haven't invested much lately because I was focused on 'completing' my EOS system.

I'm not sure how well MF lenses will work for me on the NX100 (I already have the lenses, but still waiting for the adapters) but if I like them, I'll probably buy a couple more (a 90ish macro and something that works as a true WA on a 1.5x crop camera), eventualy some lenses I could also use on my 5D.

Unlike most of you, my list is rather small. But I have a good FF set that fulfill (almost) all my needs and in a short time I might have a good "mirrorless body + vintage lenses" set for not so photography oriented promenades. With the exception of a couple more primes for the NX100, I don't really NEED anything else, but I know I will buy more stuff when I can...

Plans:
Kinda all over the place, but I'm thinking I should downsize. All I am sure of is that I'm fed up with the NEX 5n body (and all NEX'es I've handled). I want something that feels more like a camera to me. Something I interact better with. Even my old Olympus E-P1 without a VF gives me a much better feeling in this regard. Obviously a personal thing. So I will most likely convert the 5n to IR and do one of the following:

1. Sell off all lenses I use with NEX except Sigma 19&30 (and maybe 16+VCL-ECU1) and get the Olympus E-P5 with VF4 and 17/1.8 and the 12/2 and 25/1.4 lenses. Would also use the old 4/3 ZD 50/2 Macro I already have, with adapter. Buy the Sigma 18-35/1.8 for A-mount and fund it by selling the CZ 16-80 and the SAM 35/1.8. I'd be using the A77 and E-P5 systems and the X100. (Probably would also sell the X10).

2. Sell off the A77 and all lenses for it. Sell off the ZD 50/2 Macro and forget about E-P5. Get the Fuji X-E1 and 14 and 35 primes (and await/pre-order the 23/1.4 and 56/1.2) and the Speedbooster for C/Y and use my Zeiss 35&50 with it. This would then be my only interchangeable lens system (other than the IR 5n). This is a new idea, now that the E1 is getting focus peaking. (Would also likely sell the X10).

I've promised myself not to go to FF until maybe if/when my photos consistently earn me a bit of money, and I intend to keep it. No Nex FF for me.

i just sold all my photo gear. my olympus om-2n system and my canon eos 5dII.
just need to sell my amazing sigma 50 1.4 and then it'll be all gone.

however new gear is almost there...

i just bought a leica m6 which is already on the way and right now i am looking for a voigtländer 35 1.4 sc to complement it.

as for my digital needs i am shortly going to buy a fuji x100s, since i will not be able to afford an m9 within the near future.

plans for the future are going to be focussed on adding lenses to the m system, preferably a zeiss sonnar 50 1.5 and the zeiss 21. and at some point in the far away future, an m9 or other proper full frame digital rangefinder option.

Canon EOS M w/22 (wife)

I try to only have 1 camera/system at a time, since my wife always questions me, 'Why do you need more than 1 camera, since you can only use 1 at a time'.

Since last October I went from D600 -> 5DM3 -> RX-1 -> NEX-6 -> XE-1 -> NEX-6 (same as first) -> RX-1.

Really like the RX-1 but miss the variety in focal lengths. I'm thinking of getting the NEX-7 and venturing into some HDR like Trey, but I keep telling myself to wait until the 7 replacement since getting 2 yr old tech might not be worth it.

Hmm. I must be pretty happy because except for a 7D I just picked up for video work I've pretty much had the same kit for awhile now. Even still using a Canon 5D with just fine results.

Still using mainly a mix of Leica R and Contax Zeiss lenses.

Oh and still using a Nikon D300 with an old Nikon manual focus 800/5.6 for my main wildlife setup.

Just a Sony RX1 and iPhone 5.

I do have a NEX-5 in a drawer somewhere that will take a few old SLR lenses that I have laying around, and I think I still have the kit zoom and Sigma 30 for it. It's barely been used in the last couple of years.

I also have quite a few film cameras, like my Hasselblads and a Leicaflex SL, but they don't see the light of day, these days, since I've gone all digital.

Now that I've seen the "update" to the RX1, I don't really plan on buying anything anytime soon.

If the Nex FF works with rangefinder wides, then will move in that direction

Sony NEX-6 (with adapter for Leica M)

Canon 5D Mrk II and 1D Mrk IV with 6 Canon lenses, 7 Zeiss ZE lenses and 3 alt lenses.

Future plans inludes selling the NEX-6 since it didn't work out for me but I haven't given up on NEX completely and I am looking forward to what the next NEX-7 will be like and also a possible NEX-FF. I will definitely downsize or completely sell off my Canon kit since it doesn't get much use nowadays, the Leica M9 is my main camera and for a second system I am much more interested in another mirrorless system that I can use with my Leica M-mount lenses than a DSLR system right now.
