The graphics card in my new desktop is a 2GB Nvidia GeForce GT 630. Will this support the 27" NEC to the full resolution of 2560X1440?
The Graphic card specs show: Maximum Digital Resolution - 3840 x 1536
Maximum VGA Resolution - 2048 x1536
Does the lower VGA resolution limit the monitor resolution?
The other specs are OK I think- I7 & 16 GB RAM.
Thanks, not so familiar with this stuff as I should be.

Yes. You can confirm by going to the manufacturer's website and checking for yourself.

You can call NEC. Their personal is as excellent as their monitors.

Thanks, I'll check the NEC website. It's the difference between the digital and VGA resolution that I'vd been worried about.

Just use something else than a VGA cable, there surely is a Display Port or a DVI port on both the monitor and the graphics card

Thanks. It does have the Display and DVI Port. That solves it.

I'm running two Eizo CG276s @2560x1440 each on one nVidia 770 graphics card using the two DVI ports with no problem. You shouldn't have any problem at all with your rig for 2D imaging.
