Seasons Greetings everyone! My wife and I recently moved to Tasmania and I've been amazed by the quantity and variety of wildlife native to the island. The Duck Billed Platypus has always intrigued me, and as luck would have it, this amazing creature can be seen in the wild only four kilometers from where I live. After several visits to Fern Glade, we finally spotted one of these very shy creatures. They are only fifty centimeters long and venture out mainly at dusk. With their dark colour and poor light, quite a challenge for any camera system... While not technically perfect, here are a few captures with the AF-S 300mm f4 on a Nikon D750. ISO was 12,800
