Ummmm, Bob, could you post a shot of your house? You must live in one heck of a great place up there!! I must admit I am smitten with Alaska....after only one trip.

Our home and other buildings all have the brown roof and all the green roofed buildings upstream are a former lodge now privately owned. The two decks above the stairs from the river are where 90% of my photos happen.

Yup, I'm officially jealous. Great spot indeed!! When visiting FM, I always click your posts to see what you've got next.

Ok, just looked up where you are. Good grief, that really is remote living. But the wildlife you must see and come across.....second to none I bet.

Nice shots. I always like seeing grizzlies, I've only seen them a couple a times when I was at Denali many years ago. And what a deck you have!

"Getting away from it all" has different meanings for different people... obviously

Assuming that you don't live there all year (or do you?), this is a pretty nice escape home.
Love the pics, too. Momma fishing while junior watches, and when she makes a catch you got baby bear at the perfect moment as it gallops after her- fully prepared to steal the fish from Mom.
