I probably will be off line for about 3-4 weeks. Keep on shooting. I'l be back.
Regards, Chris

I did find a small, interesting grasshopper and by the time I was going to leave spotted something else ......

Wow, what an interesting set Chris. Is that a carnivorous plant? Looks like some sort of Venus Fly Trap.
Great pictures of the damsel. Have a great vacation.

The sundews I've seen in my life would know what to do with a bug that size! What a cool set Chris. Very well executed.

Terrific set, Chris, for both the technical aspects, but especially the biology and the sequence. Enjoy that vacation "down south". Over here, that usually means the gulf coast, but perhaps your lens(es) will fall on some Mediterranean beach subjects!

This is special, Chris! I think you captured all the drama in these, rendered by the use of shallow DOF.
Colors and detail look great

Manny thanks BB.
They grow near lakes on wet mossy ground. They are not very common around here and therefore protected plants.
Once you find the tiny plants you will get wet knees and elbows while capturing them.

Manny thanks Birdie.
It's indeed a carnivorous plant. I'm glad you like them.

Thank you Greg!
This year down south means two locations in Switzerland, a few days in Paris and relaxing at the north-west coast of France.
So instead of going to the Mediterranean sea we do a "little" round trip and probably spend more miles doing so.

A great set Chris. I love this kind of shot, and you did very well with them. Enjoy your vacation - we want a full "photo report" upon your return. ~ Ron

A really super set of remarkable images, Chris.
And the sequence of your presentation tells an amazing story.
The last few- with the dragon's bug-eyes so obvious- speak of tragedy- and fear. The dragonfly doesn't know what's happening to it- but it seems to have a grasp of the fact that it is NOT good.
It makes me sad because I like dragons- but it sure made for terrific images.
Charlie
