Hey FM! Just want to share our last 2 weddings from last week. If you guys live on the east coast then there'S a good chance that your wedding last week got rained out. Our first wedding got rained out really bad but fortunately it stopped after the ceremony, and our second wedding fortunately was dry.

I was very lucky to have 2 excellent 2nd shooters - Jason shot the first one with me and Jonathan Pretz shot the 2nd. Trying to cull down the images to 15 each was a bit tricky, but here they are. C&C appreciated as always.

Wedding #2. The rain held off, and the sun came out to play. Jonathan shot this with me.

Well you obviously know I think you're good since I hired you to shoot our family and all.... but that not withstanding. I think your B&W processing doesn't match your color. Both are ok, but the color is punchy and the B&W is much less so. I'd try to make them more cohesive. Here's some positives and negatives for me...

I think this shot would have been better right side up with just a hint of reflection. I have my doubts that a bride would want this in an album:

Put your think-like-a-bride cap on for this one, then start wondering what you could have improved. I would bet that there was a better expression in there somewhere. And one of the darkest things in the frame is her underarms which draw way too much attention to that area:

This photo doesn't have enough going on in the right side to make the balance work in my opinion:

I'm just posting this because I've tried (and failed) to get this shot at this place before and I think you did a great job. I'd go B&W though:

And this is awesome:

i really like your coverage for both weddings!

i've wanted to say it before but it's a taste thing so i refrained. but since this is 'unfiltered', i'm really not digging your BW conversions lately. i just dont think they help your images. they are really muddy/flat and lack tonality. that 'vsco' style doesnt really fit your refined shooting style. images like 5 (which is awesome) sort of gets 'cheapened' by that flat low contrast conversion.

one thing that i think can be improved is the 'meaningless out of focus crap in the foreground' compositions (1, 3, 16). they just dont add anything to the photo and it could be argued that they detract from otherwise interesting moments.

continue to put 'meaningful OOF crap in the foreground' shots like 14 and 20!
