You choose the lens and then choose the camera.
They have results for most canon/nikon cameras, it's not restricted to the 5DIII/D800.
You just have to select them and compare.
They did not do 1dx/600v2 combination. But if you look at D4/600vr vs 5diii/600v2, the canon shows way better than Nikon in all dimensions.Resoulution, Distortion, CA.
My point is that i) who knows what their resolution scale means, average - how averaged, at same fstop? etc., and ii) if you are comparing, use equivalent cameras (1dx) which they do not have available for some strange reason. And lastly, strangely, their conclusion (even) is not matched by the facts.
I like DX0mark. I love data. i just wish they would drop the silly rolled in weighting and present middle/edge resolution at widest fstop so it is more useful and less misleading. You have to understand their metrics to use them and they sell the average which encourages simple but mislead conclusions.
[Incidently if you look at thedigitalpicture http://www.the-digital-picture.com/Reviews/ISO-12233-Sample-Crops.aspx?Lens=748&Camera=453&Sample=0&FLI=1&API=1&LensComp=654&CameraComp=614&SampleComp=0&FLIComp=1&APIComp=0 you will find that although Nikon 600 is pretty good, the Canon does significantly better in the edges and when you put the 1.4x on it gets even more dramatic]
